Piket-Bo-Berg

Piket-Bo-Berg is a wine region situated on the plateau of the Piketberg Mountain, approximately 800m above sea level. While renowned for its fruit and flower production, winemaking has emerged as a new focus in the area. Led by visionary winemaker Johan Meyer, the unique terroir of Piket-Bo-Berg offers the best of both worlds for winemaking. The region boasts diverse soils, including profiles like Ferricrete and Koffieklip, while enjoying higher rainfall compared to neighboring areas. The diurnal climate of hot days and cool nights provides optimal conditions for grape cultivation. With southern and northern-facing slopes, Platteklip Vineyards takes advantage of the varied microclimates to produce a curated selection of exceptional wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Rhône-style blends.
