Culture Wine Co. at the Inaugural Small Poppies Collective Trade & Consumer Tasting
We’re STOKED to roll out something special: the very first Small Poppies Collective trade tasting, happening Monday, June 9th at Bay Grape in Oakland. This is more than just a tasting—it’s a celebration of wines that are often overlooked, from regions that deserve way more attention.
The 3:30–5:00pm session is strictly for wine trade, and RSVPs are required. At 5:00pm, we open the doors to the public—walk-ins welcome for consumer hours!

What is Small Poppies Collective?
Small Poppies Collective is a new collaboration of four importers (including Culture Wine Co!) who are passionate about wines from lesser-known and less-appreciated corners of the wine world. Together, we’re celebrating small producers, regional diversity, and wines with soul. Each of us is pouring five wines—a focused look at some of the most exciting wine regions in the world.
Founding Importer-Members
🍷 Culture Wine Co. — South Africa
🍷 Danch & Granger Selections — Central & Eastern Europe
🍷 Legend Imports — Australia
🍷 Tupetz Wine Connection — Germany
Why You Should Come
This is your chance to taste an intentionally curated set of wines you won’t find anywhere else, all in one room. Whether you’re in the trade or just a curious wine lover, you’ll walk away with a fresh perspective—and probably a few new favorite bottles. Come sip with us. Let’s raise a glass to the underdogs, the pioneers, and the regions rewriting the story of fine wine.
Prost! Gesondheid! Na Zdravje! Cheers, mate!
